Environmental sampling
Last week, the field team braved the cold, wet weather to collect sediment and water samples from local rivers. The aim is to test these samples for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA. In the coming weeks, additional samples will be collected from similar field sites for use in infectivity assays.
